Gentle & Strong Yoga
We meet Mondays at 8am and Thursdays at 745am to practice at the Yachats Community Presbyterian church. Please bring your own yoga mat (blocks & strap if you have them) as we do not have extra mats. Asanas are offered as accessibly as possible. Basic “slow flow” structure will be determined daily based on time of year, cycle of the moon, requests & to some extent on who shows up. We often often include shapes like frog, sitting, squats, warriors, plank and downward dog. Class begins at 8am on Mondays and 745am on Thursdays (please arrive a few minutes early to set yourself up) and lasts about 60 minutes. All levels of experience are welcome. The title “Gentle and Strong” implies that we will practice strength building in a gentle accessible way that encourages self awareness and dedication to the personalization by each practitioner. This is predominately a group flow format and participants are responsible for their own safety within the practice. Cues and vocal adjustments are offered. Hands on adjustments are uncommon and will only be offered with permission. Please bring your own mat and a willingness to be in community, sliding scale donations are graciously appreciated and split between the venue and the instructor $3-$15 per person per class, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
