About Yaquina Nursery

This Nursery is one of the most amazing and unique places to visit on the Oregon Coast!

We love seeing peoples faces light up with awe and wonder when they step inside our magical greenhouse. Our space is not climate controlled & we get HOT (bring water, wear layers)in the summer & MUDDY/cold (wear boots & warm coats) in the rainy season. Please wear appropriate attire for your visit to our greenhouse. This nursery was moved here to the Yachats River Valley from highway 20 in Newport circa 2005. The original owners started the collection in 1963. When you visit the nursery you’ll quickly see how those years have established Yaquina Nursery as one of the most extensive and fabulous collections of succulents and cacti in the entire Pacific Northwest. Most of our collection thrive best in well lit spaces that are “coastal warm” & protected from the harsh winter rain.The current stewards of this nursery are simple plant nerds and NOT HORTICULTURISTS. We can offer care advice and sometimes name the plants but may not be able to answer many specific or scientific questions. We specialize in cacti & succulents and are best known for our large variety and old fashioned hospitality. The location of our nursery is magical and a JOY to visit. We are open spring-fall Thursday Thru Monday 9am-330pm, closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays & most major holidays. Open thru the winter From November1st-April 30th 11am-330pm
